“PRETTY DADA » by Madame CHANTAL THOMASS

Chantal Thomass, who likes to play with words and memories, created “PRETTY DADA” to celebrate the flapper - the freed, emancipated woman of the 1920s and mistress of seduction. A "sculpture-horse" more inclined to live her life to the fullest than to set foot in the ring! An irreverence?Chantal Thomass laughs: "More like a fantasy ... in the form of a declaration of humor!

BIOGRAPHY - CHANTAL THOMASS

"I've always loved fashion ... and especially mine!” In the 70’s, Chantal Thomass was one of the major figures of the new wave of French designers that included Kenzo, Jean-Charles de Castelbajac, Thierry Mugler, Claude Montana, Anne-Marie Beretta, and Sonia Rykiel. Thomass has acquired a reputation for exotic underwear and theatrical, flirtatious clothes, made in sophisticated fabrics and often trimmed with frills and flounces. She defines the contours of a new femininity: extravagant, free, carnal, and suffused with humor. She describes her designs as “provocative but not vulgar.”
